“Now Alfred, I’ve added your favorite bubble bath and found your rubber duck. Will you please get in the tub?” Arthur was nearly at his wits end. Alfred stood before him, as naked as the day he was born, looking any kind of escape.

“No!” The little boy crossed his arms over his chest and pouted. “I don’t wanna bath!”

“But you need one,” the man sighed, reaching for the naked child. Before he could grab his arm Alfred ran off.

“No!” He laughed as he streaked past the man and into the living room where there would be plenty of furniture to hide behind. He chose the couch, crouching behind it and trying to hide his giggles as Arthur came in looking for him.

“Alfred, please come out,” he sighed, already knowing full well where the boy was hiding. “The water is going to get cold and I am not going to run it again.” He stepped around the couch and knelt the the boys level. “So please, get in the bath and I will give you an extra helping of chips with dinner tomorrow.”

“Really? Alright!” And so the naked little boy took off towards the bathroom where the sound of happy splashing echoed back to the Brit.

EXTENDED ENDING

“Alfred, it’s time to get out of the tub!” Arthur stood by the sink, holding the towel open for him to walk into.

“No,” the little boy whined, pushing himself down into the water further. The bubbles had all disappeared an hour ago and Arthur was sure that the water was cold by now. “I don’t want to get out.”
